MY EVERYDAY MAKEUP ROUTINE

I’m sharing my everyday makeup routine from start to finish! As you can see, I have a different variety of brands that I use I love everything from Makeup Forever, Mac, Huda, to Kylie Cosmetics. My routine does change a little bit based on the weather, event I’m attending, and my outfit. A majority of these beauty products I have used for over three years and I love them!

  1. Makeup Forever Primer (Step One) this has been in my makeup routine for at least five years. It does a phenomenal job of holding my makeup in place regardless of the weather which is important in Texas. 
  2. I can’t live without my Beauty Blender sponge! It’s great for applying makeup on the entire face and under the eyes. It’s easy to clean and does a good job of applying the product evenly. 
  3. Huda Faux Filter Foundation is amazing. It’s the best foundation out there. The coverage is awesome and it holds up well year-round and doesn’t oxidize as much on your face. The color I wear year-round is Toffee. I usually buy 2-3 at a time! 
  4. Mac Pro Longwear Fluidline in Dip Down pods are a winner because you can use them as eyebrow filler or eyeliner! I use mine for filling in my eyebrows and the pods last a lot longer than pencils or liquid versions. 
  5. Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara has been a favorite for about three years. I normally go for water-proof formulas but this 
  6. My three favorite lip liners from Mac, these are perfect for making your lips look fuller or poutier. I love mixing the colors and layering them under a nude or clear gloss. I use Boldly Bare, Whirl, and Stripdown.
  7. Another one of my favorite products from Huda is her 3D Highlighting Palettes in Bronze Sands. These colors are just gorgeous year-round and look great on the bridge of your nose, forehead, cheekbones, and even your eyes. 
  8. Nars has the best blush and a majority of their colors look good on all skin tones. The colors I love are Savage, Angelika, and Mata Hari.
  9. Kylie Cosmetics Tanned and Gorgeous Bronzer is my favorite as well, it blends really well and I love using it on my nose, forehead, and neck. This bronzer is super pigmented and is perfect for contouring. 
  10. Ben Nye Final Seal Setting Spray is a godsend! This is a new product that I have been using for a few weeks and I’m absolutely in love with this setting spray. This is one of the secret products that Disney characters use to keep their makeup fresh in the hot and humid
  11. Be sure to wash your makeup off at the end of the day. The brand that I absolutely swear by is Tatch Deep Cleanse Exfoliator, it leaves nothing behind!

Well, that wraps up my go-to items for my daily makeup routine! Stores that I frequent for makeup items include Sephora, Ulta, Morphe, and Mac. For new products, I’d rather buy them in person to look at the colors, but most of my purchases are made online. I promise to do a video soon of my full routine so you all can see it from start to finish. I also have a separate routine that I use for a night out which I jokingly refer to as my “stage makeup”. Favorite Body Scrubs: Get Glowing Skin

I am obsessed with exfoliating! You may think I’m crazy, but it’s literally my favorite product to buy!! This blog post is all about my favorite body scrubs, polishes, and exfoliators.

My favorite sugar lip polish exfoliator from Fresh is a must! I use this every 3-4 days and sometimes more depending on the weather and use of lipstick or lip liners. During the winter, my lips can be extremely dry, but this scrub is perfect because it adds moisture and I also follow this process with the lip balm that comes in the set. You can get this item directly from the retailer or from Sephora.

Josie Maran is a genius because her Argan Sugar Body Scrub works wonderfully and smells amazing. The consistency of this scrub is the reason why I buy 4 containers a year. It’s great to use all over and smooths rough spots fast! I use warm water to rinse this off. If my hands are really dry or flakey, I’ll grab some of this to use after washing my hands.

Dove’s Mango scrub was an impulse buy at the grocery store. I love smelling fruity scents during the summer and the tropical mango scent is phenomenal. This scrub has a great consistency as well and beautiful color. It rinses off easily too. I usually follow this with the Dove Foam mango body wash. Victoria’s Secret Scrub Down exfoliator is great for legs and feet. It does leave behind a lot of moisture and the scent is light and perfect for frequent use.

Lancer’s Exfoliating Polishing Scrub is my favorite for my face and its perfect for combination skin! I read the reviews for this product four years ago and decided to give it a try. It is amazing! I scored mine at Nordstrom’s online. There are millions of super grainy beads that make your face and neck feeling smooth for days, and it’s perfect for the girl that wears makeup or sweats a lot during the gym. I can say that I see improvement in acne scars overtime with the use of this scrub and other facial cleansers.

Also, there is another great exfoliator by Josie Maran which is perfect for cleaning your face. It’s a different formula which is a powder and it’s great to add to your face-washing routine. It’s pretty safe for daily use and helps remove any traces of makeup. Next up, is Bath and Body Work’s Strawberry Pound Cake scrub smells so yummy! This was my first time trying any scrub from them and I was pleasantly surprised by the texture, consistency, and smell. After using the scrub, I use the strawberry pound cake shower gel!

16 Beach Day Essentials

  1. Sunblock is crucial for any vacation or beach day. Using a sunblock with a high SPF is smart, but don’t forget to regularly slather it on after you get out of the water. Applying just once isn’t enough. I use the Neutrogena brand and also the Banana Boat brand that you can spray on which is perfect for a beach day.
  2. A cute sunhat helps keep the sun out of your face while also protecting your scalp. Bucket style hats are cute along with floppy sun hats! Mine is monogrammed and I love it!
  3. I love decorative, round beach towels! They’re super cute to lay on underneath an umbrella.
  4. This umbrella is to die for! It’s perfect for the beach or a backyard party.
  5. Can’t go to the beach without a swanky beach bag to put all of your essentials in.
  6. A waterproof phone case is necessary to protect your phone from water splashes and spills.
  7. Stack of magazines and books!
  8. Super fabulous swimsuit cover-up!
  9. I am in love with these Louis Vuitton sunglasses.
  10. A wireless speaker, this brand is by Wonderboom. It gets loud enough that we can enjoy our favorite tunes at the beach and its waterproof as it can be submerged up to three feet of water! It also floats! You can buy these on Amazon and get your shipment fast.
  11. Beach mats are great because the sand can be shaken off quickly and they’re easy to roll up and store.
  12. Yeti cup to keep your beverages cool.
  13. Yet cooler to keep all of your food and drinks cool for the entire day!
  14. Yuni shower sheets and large body wipes are the way to go! They’re great for refreshing your skin after the beach and makes you feel fresh on the way home as it wipes away sweat, sand, and odor. You can buy them from their direct website, Amazon, or Sephora’s website.
  15. Water is essential for any beach day, as you need to make sure your body stays hydrated in the sun. I’m a huge supporter of Diamond Water.
  16. Havaianas are my favorite flip flop brand! Their sandals are always fashionable and comfortable without pinching the bottom of your feet.
