What is Reiki?
Reiki is an alternative energy therapy and healing practice to help with relaxation, natural healing, stress-relief, and balancing the mind and body. It originated in the late 1800s in Japan and has become a popular alternative to traditional medical practice and will continue to grow in popularity.
Benefits of Reiki
There are many benefits of Reiki, but the outcomes and responses for each person are different. From my perspective, I have partaken in Reiki for various reasons and all of my experiences during or after a session have been different. There may be a time when I was under a lot of emotional or mental stress from work-related or personal reasons. I may leave my session feeling less stressed or, I may have better concentration potential because my thoughts aren’t racing anymore.
Where to find a Reiki Specialist?
Fortunately for me, I was able to find someone awesome through a coworker. There are Reiki Masters all over the world! Great places to look are yoga centers, kundalini yoga, or even online through places like Facebook. Be sure to check references and reviews from actual clients.
Why do I use Reiki?
Simply put, I like the way I feel after each session. I have been doing this now for three years. I have had one on one sessions, a small group session, and attended to events for summer solstice, new moon, and alchemy of sound. They are amazing events which gives me the opportunity to disconnect with the world and reconnect with myself and my intentions for life. I try to incorporate mindfulness into my daily routines. I try to visit with Kristine on a quarterly basis and I make every effort to instill some of the lessons and tools she gives me during our visits. Life experiences can be challenging and can be stressful depending on the type of career you have. Finding balance and maintaining positive energy is a life-long journey and having an outlet or a means to cope with difficulties can make you feel like you can handle anything.
