I started seeing a Reiki Healer last year after I saw the positive effects that it had on a coworker. He passed by my office one afternoon and I asked him what was going on in his life. He seemed happier and more energetic. He’s always been a pretty upbeat person, but his energy was different. To continue, my coworker gave me the number to a Reiki Healer named Kristine and I remember asking him, “What in the world does a Reiki healer do?” He looked and me and said, “A lot, just take her number, and call her!” So, I did. I remember how much lighter I felt just after just talking to her a few minutes on the phone. I scheduled my appointment for my 30th birthday and felt like okay, this is it. One of my gifts in life is being aware of people’s energy. I can feel people’s energy from across the room, and I can tell almost instantly if someone has positive or negative vibes. A downside is that some people’s energy can make me feel physically ill which can affect my own energy and health.
When I got to my session, Kristine was warm and inviting and we talked about my crystal collection and what Reiki healing was all about. She has a beautiful reiki bowl collection of different colors, sounds, and shapes. She even cleansed all of my citrine jewelry and crystal collection that I brought with me.
I brought my small crystal collection with me and felt comforted that I wasn’t the only person lugging their stones around town. I even keep quartz and jade stones in my wallet for good luck and prosperity. I wear my citrine ring from John Hardy every single day, and sometimes, I sleep with my rose quartz stones under my pillow. I often keep my heart shaped Labradorite stone in my purse or in my pocket. Labradorite has been known to illuminate spiritual paths and bring harmony between opposing forces. Labradorite also helps clear your chakras too. Often, I clear my own chakras at home with a chime I bought two years ago at a beautiful gift shop not far from my home.
If you haven’t had a Reiki healing session, I strongly advise you to do so. It’s such a beautiful experience and it really made a difference in my life. Right now, I go about 3-5 times a year, but I hope to increase my sessions soon.
